This is another major step towards gaining more general acceptance of the kink lifestyle. There’s a Harvard student club called Harvard College Munch which meets regularly to discuss kink. The club has regular informal lunches and dinners to chat about bondage, discipline and all other BDSM interests. To the club’s delight, the group has now been approved by the Committee on Student Life.
Apart from being given a legitimate presence and a comfortable setting in which to discuss such matters, the best part about recognition is the Munch club will now be able to promote their presence on the campus and also put up posters of their events.
Finally, a smart way of bringing together those who always felt they were alone. It also provides a means of support via their safety team for anyone who’s been abused or has experienced any form of trauma.
